This ride starts just north of the George Washington Bridge and follows the Hudson River Parkway bike path for 14 miles south to Battery Park. A section of the bike path is temporarily closed in the vicinity of the World Trade Center construction and re-routes through Battery Park or with on-road bike lanes. You can return to the bike path at the Battery and ride north to Washington St. where it is closed from the other end.
This was my first time cycling in NYC, and the path is a pleasant and scenic surprise.
